I design and make theatrical costumes having been fascinated as a child by the movement of fabric and the changing patters that result. Initially I create the designs using silk painting and then record them with photography. In this way I make a record of the whole creative process which I hope is an inspiration to other people. By using this process, all the elements of my work can be viewed separately, or as a whole. My work has seen costumes produced for 'A Christmas Carol' and 'A Midsummers Night's Dream' and postcards of my original design are in production. Bach and Beethoven influence me greatly and I hope the intensity of my relationship to the arts, in whatever form, is reflected in my work as a costumier. I am currently a student on the Foundation Degree in Contemporary Art at Shrewsbury College/University of Stafford.
